Our Wedding

Rob and McKenna met in Tacoma, Washington, during their college years at the University of Puget Sound. Both played competitive ultimate frisbee on the men’s and women’s club teams. McKenna was a freshman and Rob was a junior when they got paired up as mystery dates for a frisbee party! McKenna instantly had heart eyes for Rob. One night at another frisbee party, Rob accidentally spilled some beer on McKenna, they started dating shortly thereafter, and the rest is history!~Over the past nine years, the two have navigated more than a year of long distance, a global pandemic, their first home together in Seattle, Rob’s ankle surgery and two nose breaks, a move back to Colorado, and the chaos of law school. During this time, McKenna and Rob have bonded over their love for hiking, skiing, biking, brewery hopping, playing Scrabble, traveling (totaling 9 countries together so far!) and cheering on the Denver Nuggets. McKenna forced her deep love for ice cream onto Rob and the two have been on over a thousand ice cream dates near and far.~Rob proposed to McKenna in June 2024 at one of their favorite spots, Wash Park, as she was in the throes of bar exam studying — he totally surprised her!~Both Colorado natives (**see note), McKenna and Rob are excited to share their love for the outdoors with their friends and family as they join in marriage in the mountains of Idaho Springs!**Rob disagrees because of his birth and first six months of life in California, but he is basically a Colorado native.~Thank you for being such important people in our lives. Flight

Denver International Airport is the best airport to fly into! There's a light rail commuter train that goes directly to/from the airport into Denver Union Station. The events prior to the wedding will take place in Denver. Our hotel room block is within walking distance to Union Station.

Navigating train from airport to union station

If you'd like to avoid renting a car, you can easily transport from the airport to Union Station by taking the train. You can take the RTD A Line train from the Denver Airport to Union Station. The trip takes about 37 minutes and will cost around $10.50 for a one-way ticket. You can either download the RTD app on your phone and purchase tickets digitally, or purchase a ticket from the ticket vending machines near the station. The train is located at the airport and runs frequently throughout the day. Once you get on the train at the airport, you'll take the train to the very last stop and get off at Denver Union Station.

The rooms will be reserved at this rate until June 26, 2025. Guests staying at Hotel Indigo with vehicles can park in the hotel garage for a discounted rate of $32 per night.

If our room block sells out, there is another hotel near Hotel Indigo called Hilton Garden Inn Denver Union Station. It is a 5-minute walk to Hotel Indigo. We heard there is a Noah Kahan concert the weekend of our wedding, which has made hotel rates increase. For this, we apologize! Travel & Hotel

Shuttle Departure:

We have reserved shuttles to transport guests from Hotel Indigo to the venue and back. The shuttles will depart in front of the hotel lobby promptly at 3:00 PM. We recommend getting there around 2:45 PM.The address of the hotel is: 1801 Wewatta St, Denver, CO We ask that you please specify whether you plan to ride on the shuttle when you RSVP so that we reserve enough seats.

At the end of the night, shuttles will transport guests back to Hotel Indigo at 11pm. We unfortunately will not have shuttles departing from the venue any earlier.

parking at venue:

For those wanting to drive separately, there is a parking lot at the venue with plenty of spots. But please note that you cannot leave your car parked at the venue overnight.

uber/lyft:

Please also note that you can Uber/Lyft to Blackstone Rivers Ranch, but due to the venue's location, it is unlikely that you'll be able to snag an Uber or Lyft ride home at the end of the night. If you are hoping to only ride the shuttle back to Denver, please specify that when you RSVP.

Our favorite breweries! 

There are truly so many in Denver, you can't go wrong. Here are a few of our favorite spots:· Platt Park Brewing Co. (1875 Pearl St.) is probably the one we frequent the most – and if you’re with us on Thursday evening, you’ll likely end up here. They have excellent beers, good food, and good vibes (plus a cool patio!).· Our Mutual Friend Brewing (2810 Larimer St.) – in the RiNo neighborhood of Denver, this spot is funky and welcoming with an awesome patio.· Cerebral Brewing in Congress Park (1477 Monroe St.) – close to downtown with top notch brews and – you guessed it – a great patio!· Denver Beer Co. (many locations) – the closest one to downtown is located on Platte Street.

If you do anything in Denver, you must hit up one of these ice cream spots!! In no particular orders, here’s a list of places we frequent:·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Little Man Ice Cream (2620 16th St.) – milk jug shaped structure serving delicious homemade scoops near downtown!·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Sweet Cow (lots of locations but our fave is the one on South Pearl Street – funnily enough, it’s across the street from Platt Park Brewing!).·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Bonnie Brae (799 S University Blvd) – this lil old-fashioned spot has lots of rotating flavors and a fun, classic parlor vibe.·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Sweet Action (52 Broadway St) – you’ll find the most obscure but delicious flavors here!&nbsp;

Saturdays:· City Park Farmers Market (E. Colfax &amp; Columbine Street) from 8am – 1pm.Sundays:· South Pearl St. Farmers Market – this is our favorite one!!!!! (between E. Arkansas Ave and E. Iowa Ave.) from 9am – 1pm.

Outdoor Things

·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Denver Botanic Gardens – lovely public botanical garden in the Cheesman Park neighborhood of Denver (highly recommend walking around Cheesman Park as well). ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Red Rocks Park &amp; Amphitheatre – about 10 miles south of Denver, this is a fun spot to go for a stroll, do a workout on the stairs (if you dare), or check out the stunning views. ·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Reach out to us if you want some recommendations for hikes!
